Why is my mom always criticizing me, and what can I do to make her stop?

I had a very similar problem for years. I finally just told my mom that what she was saying really hurt my feelings and that it brought my self-esteem down. My mom saw that it really upset me and made a sincere effort to stop the destructive talk. Try doing the same. Calmly tell your mom what you feel like when she criticizes you and tells you to shut up and criticizes you. Use specific examples so your mom knows exactly what you mean. Good luck!

I think you should show that you will behave well by youself and let her not to worry about you

It might sound weird but she could be jealous of you.
She probably had a rough childhood.
