I Like This Guy But He Likes My Best Friend And He Always Tells Me How Hot She Is But I Really Like Him,what Should I Do?

In such a case, it really depends if your friend likes him or no, or is she the kind of a girl who wants to be with him. You see at times we do like a number of people not knowing how they are from with in. same is the case there; he likes her looks and her external beauty. And such an attraction is not love, it is just infatuation. Love is not about looking at someone and saying that they like them. It is way more then that. If your friend is hot, is very obvious that he likes her for her looks. And if I'm not wrong he must be spending time with you, give him a chance to you. Show him that you're beautiful too. This will take time, but if he is the love of your life, then it is worth doing. Go for it. Show him that you care for him, hope to see him smile, want to be with him. After knowing you he will definitely have feelings for you. Love is very unacceptable, it happens without knowing, when and how.

I understand, it's seriously annoying. I don't fall for guys very often but I have taken (strong) interest in a particular boy. He definitely finds me physically attractive and we are friends although not super close, but he likes my really good friend who is also his really good friend. I'm not sure how much he likes her but it seems pretty strong, and the biggest problem is that she keeps saying that she doesn't want to get physically attached to him but doesn't act accordingly (I'm not sure if they have hooked up recently but I wouldn't be surprised), so it confuses me whether or not she likes him back in that way. He is attractive though, so I don't blame her although it would be nice if she could make up her mind, I just don't understand why they aren't together if she wants to be with him because this has been going on for months. Basically what I am doing is... Not telling anyone that I like him, in case it doesn't work out (which it probably won't) then it'll be less to deal with, like I don't have to listen to other peoples' pity. But I will continue to drop hints to him that I like him and if he starts to go out with her, I'll back off.. If not, I'll be there. Honestly all I can say is make sure he knows, I'm not saying be clingy or super flirtatious, but he has to know that you're interested in order to make his decision. But you will have to accept that it may not happen. It's what I'm doing now, and it is extremely difficult but it's the only way to go.

I'm in the same situation......
We've both known him for ages and me+my bestfriend are really close.
The thing is, he told me he liked me before and I really liked him LOADS.
But my bestfriend liked him at this point:\, so yeah... I couldn't tell him that and I told him how it was 'complicated' and I just smiled and giggled when he told me he liked me.
This was ages ago though, and things changed since then. He now likes my bestfriend and he always tells me... I just don't know what to say or do?
I actually think I 'love' him... Whenever I see his name I smile and whenever I see him, or he talks to me my heart skips a beat! He's on my mind 24/7.
My bestfriend doesn't want to go out with him I don't think... He says to me:
'love you' and stuff, but that's totally different to 'I love you' and it annoys me.
Sometimes he says I love you, but then he says I'm his 'bestfriend'.
I hate it when he tells me how much he likes her, because I'm just dying to tell him how much I love him, but I can't do that... I try to let all of it go but I just can't - I'm always thinking about him. I've even been looking at 'broken heart' quotes. Lol:(

I am in the same situation! I really like this guy and he likes her.. But sometimes you have to say to yourself. Is he worth it? If he is try to talk to him more or hang out. Show him who You are! And if you find that it doesn't work clearly he is not the guy for you and find someone who likes you a lot!

I'm in the same position. My friend knows I like him, and she wont flirt with him or even talk to him. But he still likes her. I actually cried, but his best friend gave me some advice...
1. Talk to him more
2. If he tries to make you laugh, Laugh
3. Try and make eye contact
4. Give him a big hint that you like him ( just incase he is trying to get you jealous)
5. Use Phisical COntact eg. Ask for a hug, Play Fight, Piggy Backs
But whatever you do, don't blame your friend unless she is flirting back, Me and my best friend have been friends for 11 years, and we wont let a boy come between us.

Wow. What a coincidence. I was in this exact same situation a little while back. I liked a guy who sat next to me in one of my classes and he said he liked my best friend. He would always talk about her. It got kind of annoying sometimes. But I backed off. Because I realised that he was really into my best friend. And if he didn't like me, why waste my time on him? Oh my god!! This is happening to me too!! Basically, my all time best friend, I've known her since I was born and I'm 15 in a month, and we have been best friends since then. She told me about this guy that she had a crush on and he sounded so cute!! On msn, she and I were talking, (he wasnt added to my msn at the time) and then he must have come online because she did this 3-way convo and me and him where talking loads and she was just reading and talking a little bit. After talking to him when I had to go, he added me on msn. We talked and I thought he liked my bestfriend and she liked him too, but they are both shy, so I was playing love maker. He didnt come online for atleast 2 weeks, and when I asked her she said he wasnt online. They go to the same school as each other (I go to a different school) and when she saw him at school she told me she asked him why and he said he was grounded. When he came online, he told me he was grounded and he was extra sweet to me. My best friend said that she wasnt talking to him, and she told me she didnt like him anymore. He found out (not through me, I would NEVER do that to her) and he started flirting with me, I found out that I like him a lot!! The thing is, I have never met him, and even though he keeps suggesting that we should meet up and go out (he used my fear of spiders as and excuse to see me) I really want to but I'm scared that in doing so, I will be betraying her even though she doesnt like him AT ALL!! I have thought of asking him if he likes her and then seeing what happens, what do you think I should do??!?

Hmmph.... Well let's see, there's this new kid, he is in seventh grade, my friend and I are in eighth, he's our friend.... If he likes her you might as well let him go and be with before you get hurt ...you will find someone who likes you ...maybe you should tell your friend and she might do something about it ...but if she likes him back then don't expect much help from her just let him go if she likes him back ...she might be one of those friends who wont do that to you....

Well it depends if your friend likes him to but if she doesnt then you can probably kill him with your awesomeness. If you tell him that you know she doesnt like him then comfort him and act a little flirtatious then maybe it ll work out, but if he is only with you to get to your friend dump him because he is probably a dumb jerk and a twinkle douche!

Sorry but hes not worth if he don't have enough respect to just like you and not every girl around him then forget him honey!  If he can't have a girlfriend and have other girls around them and he can't just like you then hes not ready to be stable!! I am in the same situation, and the guy and my friend went out but he cheated on her. I know its wrong to still like him if he cheated on my best friend, but I just can't get over him, I would say to just make sure your friend is ok with it, and go for him.

My goodness I thought I was the only one in this situation. Ok heres the story. I like this guy, told him I liked him, but he already has been liking my best friend, but she doesn't like him. So he's been depressed and I've tried to cheer him up, then my BFF texts me that shes going out with him And I'm (of course) like what?! And she tells me that she is just dating him out of pity. I think am falling for this guy so bad. One random night me, my friend, him and his brother were hanging out. My friend knew I liked so much and that he liked me too, But she went on to him then he fully ditched me for her(but I still caught him staring at me a couple of times) yet I got jealous so I hooked up with his brother then he also hooked up with her.

I have this thing with my best friend Ryan, who's amazing and likes me for
whom I am. But one day when he was over, my friend Esme (aka. Big boobs, butt and a small waist) came over (uninvited) and totally pushed me out like they were on the couch and I was on the opposite side of the room, totally jealous because I TOLD her that I love him. She knew and yet she carried on.
And of course, most boys only seeing the outside first, accepted it.

Now they are constantly talking (even though esme goes to a different high school)

Ask your friend if she likes him and if she does and you really care about her you shouldn't try to get him to like you instead. It might mean feeling pretty down for a while 'cause you didn't get the guy you wanted but you just have to concentrate on other things. And if she doesn't like him then tell the guy and he might move on and then you might have a chance. ;)

My friend in my class is funny and popular and pretty and I know one boy in our class likes her but I think the guy I like likes her too but I don't know because sometimes he acts like he likes me and sometimes he likes her. I say you should start out by putting yourself out there and ma bey saying hey hows it going and if he reacts regular then that means he is trying to hide that fact that he likes you or hes likes you as a friend then ma bey be partners with him in a project ma beyif all of your friends are taken and all of his friends and give him tiny signs that is all I got to say hope it helps!

I'm right where you are ive just ended up being all matey with him becuse they're going out at the moment and I wouldnt stoop as low as to mess things up for them being matey with him has its advantages it means that when they're over ill be the one there for him and maybe he'll get the idea. My friend says she doesn't like him, so why doesn't she just let him get over her? What should I do? Oh, and some people say he's known to flirt with a lot of girls. But I still do like him a lot.

I understand where your coming from.....My best friend was never noticeable until I pretty much introduced her to all my friends. The guy I have liked for awhile started to like her.. But she didn't like him cause she has a boyfran. So I told my best friend to talk to him and see who he likes. I have the same problem. I just flirt a lot, boys always seem to like flirty girls, if you flirt enough they will really like you. You have to work for them to like you though. Just talk to them and become a close friend but not to close because' if you are too close to them they will just want to be friends but if you are close but not like totally close send signals that you like him and eventually he will like and if you're lucky, he will love you. You're in a difficult situation.
But, if he's telling you how hot she is. It means he's talking to YOU and not her. And, maybe he's trynig to see if it will get to you.
If you've liked him for a while, try telling him how you feel or get to know him better. :)

You could always get your best friend to tell him that she has no feelings for him, if he gets upset about it, be there for him and show him you are the person for him =). This same sorta thing is happening to me except he is one of my bestfriends aswell and would only prefer to go out with my friends because they are good looking, even though we have so many things in commmen :/.  I guess he only see's whats on the outside too.
