Why Boys Tease?

Yeah, knowing from my own personal experience as a guy - the way I always flirted with the girls I had a crush on was by teasing them a lot.
As I got older, I actually began to confuse girls. I would playfully be suggestive and things to girls I didn't really like - just because it was fun - and then be slightly mean and teasing/taunting to the girl that I did.
I did it because it was fun. I teased even more so when I knew she liked me too, and then eventually I'd get up enough courage to either make her tell me how she felt and then I'd tell her, or I'd tell her first and then she'd tell me.
I know not every guy is like this but chances are one of them likes you.

Its actually a good thing when boys tease you this boy would always mess with me and tell me how ugly I was, then he would take sharpies and draw on my arms, and I would have bruises all down my arm from him pinching me. Then I find out from two of his bestest friends that he likes me. So if a boy is teasing you he most likely likes you.

I think some boys do it because their crushing, others just to be mean, and some just because they don't know better...boys are weird!

Yes its because they like you or enjoy being around you

trust me I do it to a girl I like. Just don't know if she likes me too ;P

Most of the time they tease because they like a girl. But this is only if it is teasing. Being really mean however means that are just coxs

Young boys don't know how to flirt so they make fun to show the girl they like them, it usually backfires though.

Because they like you.  There is a boy whose friends told me tht he liked me but he doesnt know tht I know that he likes me.  So he teases me a lot and I have proof tht boys tease you they like you.

They tease because they're jerks. And it usually works for them, unfortunately.

A boy teases a girl when he likes her or if she is close to him (I mean friend).

Because it is a good way for them to get attention, and making fun of girls gets them attention from both the boys and the girls.

Thats just the way boys are. It's a part of there nature.  girls tease too.

This can sometimes mean that they like the girl or they want the girl's attention. It's a rather foolish way to make girls like you but still, guys do it all the time.

It dosn't always mean they like you,if they are really mean to you they are probably just cowards but if they like teasing you its diffrent.

Speaking as one who used to do the same, its a mechanism boys sometimes use to make contact with a girl they fancy without actually telling her. Most of us are cowards when it comes to showing our feelings, not just to the girl but in front of our mates. The reason is that if a boy did tell you and you rejected him, his mates would tease him even worse. Off course they could be teasing you because they are idiots, but my guess is that one of them fancies you. Just smile and say nothing. Remember, in the caveman days they used to hit them over the head and trail the girl into the cave. So maybe your lucky. Ha ha

I think boy tease you because they like you. Their this boy I knw who rides my bus and everyday he would bother me. He even walk me home  just 2 hit and play wth me den one day he finally admitted that he was in love wth me and couldnt hold it no longer. I kinda knew it because he neva mess wth my other friends like he did 2 me.

Every one says, its because they like you, but I don't think so. I think boys tease others, because they have a feeling of power and that theyre stronger and you know tough and all.

They think that it makes them look cool or to get the girls attention

I would say because they like you or they really really hate you.

Its because they want attention or they like you.

They want to see what make you tick so the act immature and they think its funny just go w/ the flow and then you will be friends.

Because they like girls and they want them to giggle and blush. They think its cute. But they might just be the joker and make everyone laugh and giggle. It also depends on the type of boy.

It could mean that he is just your friend and wen you hand out with them you r just one of them. Could also mean that he likes you but that has happened to me must of the time the just play around like a friend .if you r in 6th grade

Well if a boy tease you that means he likes you.! I know this because the boy who always use to tease me asked me out.!!!!!

The guys in your class probably tease because one of them likes you so they tease you bout it and they probably will tease him too! This same thing happened to me! But it was other jerk-faced guys that teased me because a really sweet and cute guy liked me and everyone thought he was weird! So that might be a reason but it might not!

If a guy teases you, he might like you, but it's probably just because he wants to get to know you, but doesn't know how to go about approaching you. A guy I didn't really know used to tease me all the time. He used to steal my stuff, and pick arguments with me, but the whole time he had a girlfriend. But when I acted upset about it one day, he stopped. We're actually friends now.

It might be the boys way of saying that he likes you

The reson  boys tease girls is they like we girls. Am I right... Well all boys like to do is play games that  r  teen m e.

Some guys are immature, and that's their only way of expressing that they like you. However, this is not always the case. Sometimes, guys are just jerks to all people for whatever reason. Often, guys will flirt with girls, ones they like and ones they don't, through teasing.

Padraiq may be right about the boy liking you, but he may just be a jerk. If you want it to stop you have to act like you don't care. If they say something like" Look at that ugly sweater she is wearing!" you should respond with something like "yeah, I hate this stupid sweater" or if they say something about your grades, agree with them and say you have given up on studying.. Just try to be in the conversation, rather than crying and running away. Just pretend it doesnt bother you and eventually it wont. Its hard to do at first, but you will get the hang of it.

Some say boys tease girls because they are interested in them. Some say not. I'm having the same trouble with this one guy who's been teasing me but not my friends which is so infuriating. Whenever we bump into each other I act all odd and cold but when around others I'm the complete opposite. I've been told by my mum that guys just don't know how to express their thoughts and feelings; they don't know what to do about it. But the one thing I know for sure is that boys are what we: LoveToHate & HateToLove. Good luck!

If you mean why they tease girls and laugh when they say something funny, it's to try to make her comfortable. The best way to get someone to be comfortable around you is to laugh with them.
