My Boyfriend Forgot My Birthday, Should I Dump Him?

My birthday was yesterday and my boyfriend forgot. I know he works a lot and travels but I was very hurt and he was the only person I wanted to hear from to wish my happy birthday. I thought of breaking up with him but I love him too much and I know that he forgets a lot. :/. He better make this up to me or else..

Man, I don't know how many times I've forgotten my wife's birthday or even our anniversary! We're still here! People break up and divorce for the most trivial and impulsive reasons. It's no reason to give up on someone. As Risloan said - hey, deal with it. Think preventative - ask yourself "how does it make me look if I cut him loose for forgetting my birthday?"

Well, when your boyfriend forgets your birthday, it doesn't always mean that he doesn't respect you. I think you should punish him a little bit to make him understand what he did wrong and so he won't do it again.I hope it will work.

It sounds to me like he doesn't respect you. He would rather work than celebrate your birthday with you. If he would rather work than be with you I would dump him and find someone who appreciates you. You shouldn't have to put up with that kind of nonscense.
