Anything can ruin a marriage, the least of these being infidelity or perceived infidelity.

Most humans do not have the capacity to be in a relationship that is important to them with a person that they care about and still manage to be okay with sharing that person.

It isn't that it can't be done, just that it too often ends in heartache. In order for this sort of thing to work, there really has to be open and brutally honest communication, with definite rules that each person agrees to respect.
