Tell him that your cold, and usually he will just do it by himself. If he doesn't then get a little closer to him and lean on his shoulder or arm, then he should feel bad and wrap his arm around you.

Scoot close to him and tell him that your cold or act like something is wrong and he will feel bad for you and put his arm around you it worked with my boyfriend in school

This has happened to me. You might want to lean against his shoulder. It depends how deeply he feels for you. You can show him that you don't mind. Even ask him. When he knows you like it, he'll do it more often.

Put your head on his should and it will probably work I don't know

Try by pretending to be tired or cold. Then, lay your head down on his shoulder. He will then (hopefully) put his arm around you.

I totally agree, I mean he's only done it 2 times in our whole relashionship! But still I think he gives me lots of signs for different things really but it feels really cool knowing that he does want to but he's a bit shy! Lol!^_^

Say if you are on a bus and you are tired just put your head near his shoulder not on it near it and suck your thumb with your eyes closed and he may either put his head on yours or put his arm around you
