A guy might refer to a girl as 'his girl' in a couple of different ways.
The most common is to denote some sort of relationship, i.e. A 'girlfriend'.
Why does he call me his 'girl'?
The use of a possessive pronoun suggests to me that he views you in a rather personal way.
It's probably not meant in a sexist way at all, but it almost sounds as if the guy views you as his possession.
It means he wants to look after you and treat you well, but it also means he doesn't want to share you with anyone else.
If a guy calls you his girl in this context, I'd say it most probably means he regards you as his girlfriend.
What does it mean when a guy calls you his girl?
These days, the term 'my girl' can also be used in a more colloquial way to describe someone a guy has a close friendship with.
It is often used as an introduction to people that might not know you already.
For example, a guy might introduce a female friend to a group of his associates with the phrase "yo, this is my girl Shanise".
If someone has called you his girl, and you are confused as to exactly what he meant by the term, I'd recommend simply asking him to clarify.
