My dear guest, you may be infatuated with your acquaintance but you do not love her. You may wish to know her better but that is not love. You may think you 2 would make a great couple but that is not love. You may think she is great looking or a great lover of sports but that is not love. Until you have the courage to walk up and say, "I would love to go to the movies with you this weekend, would you be able go out with me?" Until you have spent some time with her and learned her likes and dislikes, you can not love her. You may think of her all day and dream of her at night but that is not love. Until you find out if she hates pizza and loves broccoli, until you know if she hates the color red and loves purple, until you know what kind of music she likes and if she loves scary movies...you can not love her. You see, to really love a person, you must truly know them. To love a person, you must have more in common than thinking she is good looking and knowing that she goes to all the football games. You must feel a connection to that person and feel a real desire to please that person and to support that person when she is having a difficult day and you must be willing to go and do things that you do not particularly enjoy dong. You want that person to be happy no matter what you must sacrifice to see that it happens. That, my dear guest, is love. I hope you get up the nerve to reach out to the one that you may someday love.
