Get a job and save your money. Look around your area to see what the rent is like. Call the utility companies and find out how much of a deposit they will need. Figure out what you will need to save up to pay the start up costs, like first and last month rent, plus the security deposit. Check yard sales and thrift store for essentials like pots and pans, dishes and silverware, furniture, and hope your parents don't mind you using up some garage space until you can move.

Chances are you won't be able to afford to live on your own and will need a roommate. My best suggestion is not to get your best friend. While this may sound like a good idea, if there are money issues the friendship could and probably will end. Look for someone that has a good work ethic, and is organized. You don't want to live with a slob, and you want to someone who is going to pay their bills.

Try living on cash only. Do not use a credit card. Live on cash for a couple of months, and see how much money you have left that could be used for rent, food etc. That credit card causes so many problems.

First this would depends if you have parent's support & how much money you have at the start.

There's so many questions & circumstances that you need to ask yourself & consider to see if you can handle it or not.

-Are you responsible ? -Do you know the rise & falls of life  ? -Are you truly ready to gather a life on your own ? -Can you organize your life ? -Do you know the concept of living on your own & items & responsibilities that follows with you ? Do you even have a plan for your life ?

The first thing you need is a job, a job according to your educational degree or any type that you can get according to your plans. Your income is what you can plan your spending, your household & it's payments. Living tools, personal hygiene products, cloths ect . .

It depends also where you live, if you live in America, things can be done more easier. Since you can't have a high paying job at this moment, my best suggestion would be living in a motel town, a room with bed,TV,shower, bedroom, & all the necessary structures to call it a home, secure & you'll have your room's key with yourself & you own the place as long as you pay the daily or monthly payment. You can get a motel room for around 10-40 $ a day, & if you search in google for available jobs in your area, you'll be connected to thousand of sources of open jobs that hiring just right now in your area & you can fill the applications online or take their address & phone number to connect with them & interview the job & the paying can be good whether with or without degree. (i say good as in your current circumstances, not a thousand of dollar) but you can gather a pretty good life in concept of living on your own under the circumstances of your age. (for instance someday  i've had a golf job without a degree, 4 hours a day, 9AM - 1 PM - 10 $ pre hour, (one shift) i've made it up to two shift (afternoon) & made more money free of tax ect . .lol!!! & paid 10 $ for a nice nice room! (Taxi been 2.75 $ per mile & i never paid one! I have legs i can use why spend money when i can save! Then i worked that job until i got my first drum set for 649.00 $)  when you live in a motel room, the room owns everything pretty good, just you need to pay for your usage products daily or on some while, like food, toothpaste, toilet paper, or hair cutting ect .. ) you have cloths already, so keep them clean & well so you don't have to buy one that much soon, & so many other stuff that you own right now, just treat them well & you can use them in the most useful way, & use alternatives instead of paying for anything, then you'll be pretty good.

Also you can check out rental houses, houses filled with furniture or empty of furniture, both ways are available. Apartments & rental houses can be a bit more expensive than motel rooms so for that i would also suggest to get a living partner but you need to make sure that you can trust them. If the apartment you chosen been empty, you can fill it by buying from second hand shops, or yard sales or off home sales, & get pretty good stuff with good prices & start to build your own house, but then you have to pay the bills. You can find rental houses by rental companies, online searching & sites & local newspaper to point you toward local rental houses.

You get a job...work, save your money, find a place of your own, pack a bag and move.

Earn enough money to be able to afford a place of your own (rented is probably going to be your best bet), find a place you can afford and that you like the look of, put the deposit down, tell your parents you are moving out, and move out.

Legally pack your clothes & walk out the door. You do have to ask them what you can take with you. To make it work the other abvise is sound a job, transportation, insurance, credit to rent a place to live.
