Maybe she'd be mad at first but then as time goes on she will realize that your first love won't always be the one you marry. Breakups happen, it is part of the human nature. In the long run when ever she is ready she may even find someone as well. It all just takes a matter of time!
If she doesn't care for you or truly doesn't love you then she won't be mad but if you tell her this the she will think that you are like all those other boys who use girls and if one girl has left them then they still have another in line so MAYBE this thing comes in her mind AND I'm sure that this may come in her mind because girls usually think this when ! So she won't be mad because she no more cares for you and now just forget her, because if u say that then it may create a bad image of you in her mind so don't say it just forget her!
I truly believe that there's a right and wrong way to say anything, and if you tell your ex that you have a new girlfriend in a bad way, then she may well get mad.
If, however, you phrase it well, and you choose the right situation to tell her, then there's a good chance she won't get mad and that she'll even be happy for you and your new girlfriend. It all depends on how and when you tell her, and potentially how you and your ex-girlfriend broke up.
If you're still on good terms with your ex, you should have a quiet conversation with her, ideally alone so you can talk about it properly. Then you can explain how you feel about your current girlfriend.
Doing it privately shows her that you still respect her, and that her opinion is important to you, making it a lot less likely she'll get mad. It also gives her more freedom to react truthfully, and tell you how she really feels.
In contrast, doing it in a public space can ultimately have a much more negative outcome. It might seem easier on your part to just have a casual chat about it among other friends, but she may be upset by the news, at least initially, and might resent you for not letting her know first, alone.
Which one do you love the most? If you love the new girlfriend the most talk to her and say we can still be friends.
If, on the other hand, you like your ex better tell the of girlfriend the same and still be friends
