Hot, cute and sexy are some of the most common phrases that girls use to describe a man's physical appearance (although the list is pretty much endless).

A lot of the time, your geographic location will affect the terminology used to describe a good-looking guy.

The word handsome gets used quite a lot - and I often use it about my husband!

Another approach would be to list a guy's positive qualities or attributes, such as:

In the UK, girls often refer to guys who catch their eye as fit (even if the guys aren't athletic or physically-fit). In the US, terms like fine and hunky are a lot more common than they are on the other side of the Atlantic.

I often use the term Clooney as a covert word to point out a particularly-attractive man. This is especially handy when I'm out clubbing with my girlfriends and want to point out a hottie without drawing too much attention to myself.
