Love is a natural feeling, and we may fall in love with anyone. Love is the most exquisite gift of God. He has sent a boon from Heaven so we could enjoy the charm of love the way we want to enjoy it. It is like caring for somebody else unconditionally.

Love wants love as love's reward, but it never asks for it. A lover is happy in the happiness of his/her beloved. His/her life revolves around her/his beloved. The only beauty and charm in his/her life is his/her beloved. He/she does many things for her/him and is satisfied in his/her satisfaction.

On the other hand, friendship is about developing a close acquaintances with somebody else. We may meet a number of people daily, but we make friends very rarely. Not all of them are our friends.

A friend is a person who knows what we want. A friend knows us the way we know us. A friend is a person who does a lot for us. A friend in need is a friend indeed. A true friend is a relaxation for one's whole life.

Friendship can be changed into love, but love can never be changed into friendship. Your friend can be your lover at some later stage, but your lover can both be your friend and your lover at the same time.

A lover is a lover and a friend is a friend. Friendship has to be made, and love finds its path itself.

In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster - but in front of the person you like, you get happy.

In front of the person you love, you can't say everything. But in front of the person you like, you can show your feelings.

The person you love comes into your mind every two minutes.

You can't look straight into the eyes of the one you love, but you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like.

In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy, but in front of the person you like, you can show yourself.

There is an important difference between love and friendship. While love delights in extremes and opposites, friendship demands equality.

A true friend is one who is with you when you're happy and sad, but false friends are those who shares your happiness but leave you alone in difficulty. Life without friends is like crossing a river without a boat.

A lover is one who shares and sacrifices everything for his beloved. A lover is a person who stays with his or her loved one throughout life, and always keeps him/her happy.

A lover is someone you have a strong sexual attraction to. You see them for who they are, but more often for their intimate side.

A lover can be someone you actually love and long to be with, but the process is going slowly, so you settle for just sleeping with them.

A friend is someone who knows you emotionally and mentally (inside and out), and accepts you for who you are. They enjoy the good times and hold you through the hard times.

A lover is someone you have feelings for; but not just any type of feelings. You feel for this person what you will never feel for someone else, or at least not for a long time.

Now a friend is someone you love in a totally different way.

Though the words lover and friend sound the same, the difference is great in the real sense.

First of all we will have to differentiate between the meaning of a lover and a friend:

  • A lover simply means a person - whether boy or a girl - whom you like or love, and with whom you want to be as a husband or wife to thoughout your life. Sincerity is a must in the relationship with a lover, because without sincerity, relations will not develop sincerely between both parties. A lover has the passion to sacrifice his feelings, his likes or dislikes, or everything which he or she possesses.
  • A friend simply means someone you like the most. To develop a friendship, you need again sincerity in your relations, and to adapt to the good or bad habits of your friend as well as caring for his or her needs and requirements. To develop a good friendship, you need to sacrifice mentally as well as physically, and you have to forego many other things. In this way you can strengthen your friendship with any particular person whom you like the most.

The difference between a lover and a friend is just one thing - sex. That's pretty much it. You can love a friend more than a lover, so it's not a matter of love.

The difference between a boyfriend and a lover is the love and closeness, because a boyfriend is a lover and a friend.

You can have a lover, but they may not be your boyfriend, as the only times you may see a lover is when you make love or have sex. It maybe the only facet they see of you.
