You can tell because they will do almost anything for you, I was in a relationship with the father of my children for four years and thought he loved me but when we split and I met my now fiancé I realised he didn't love me not truly, my new partner sacrificed so much and has done things he would never have done before for us to be together plus when he loves you no matter what you can see it in his eyes when he looks right into them and doesn't look away plus they will give up anything when its true love, hope this helps.
