He is an ex that hurt you. Walk away, better yet run. Cut off all contact. Abusive people know how to manipulate people. Avoid getting manipulated. It doesn't matter what you are used to, you need to find a new path and get used to not being used, abused, and manipulated. And religion doesn't matter in this at all.
