Okay :) Well... My recommendation is to just strike up a conversation with him and ask him if he would like to hang out sometime. It's an easy way to ask that could go either way... Friend... More than friend. If he is like "sure" then pick a casual place to hang out and go from there. It's not uncommon for people to ask that and it's not necessarily asking him out yet, but just testing the waters and seeing his response.
