When I feel like I'm stuck in a rut in life, I try to remind myself that somewhere along the line, things are going to change -- sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse, but it's inevitable -- nothing will ever stay the same for all time. School will end, and maybe a new job will present itself, maybe some interesting new person will come into your life. The last time this happened, I was so depressed, things hadn't changed in 3 years, and then suddenly a crisis in the family brought about a refreshing new change afterwards. Other changes have just been for the better. I know you must be tired, handling school and work day after day. Have you ever considered a hobby you'd like to do -- maybe start on the weekends for a couple of hours a month? You sound like a person with a sense of humor deep down inside, though, and that and your faith are going to see you through this period of unrest and boredom. Remember, change is inevitible -- the bad parts of life pass, and the good parts kick in -- sometimes we just never know when that's going to come about. I sure hope this helps you out a bit, Bestthing -- when you're feeling down, it's always a good thing to talk to somebody, or just have someone give you a little morale and boost! Moe
I usually just take a DEEP breath, and think about how much my life will be so much better once I'm all done and have achieved freedom from the daily hum drum lifestyle of obligations, but really envision your dreams coming true see yourself in the life you want to be living. :) Sometimes it just feels better to lock myself in my room turn the music up REALLY LOUD and SCREAM at the top of my lungs.... Really though it does help to just let it all out sometimes. :) If none of this works try seeing a mental health counselor and talking through your feelings ... Hey maybe they'll put you on happy pills :)
There are a number of things you can do. First of all if your eaning of giving up is to harm yourself, then the answer is simple and urgent, go to the hospita, they have mental health crisis centers in the E.R. That can help you and get you placed in a short term mental health facility. There are also mental health crisis centers that can help you with the same. If it is not to that extremity then what you need to do is make some you time away from all the daily hussle of life. Do you have any hobbies or interests? Make an alotment of time just for that. Ike for instance, say you love sewing, look in your local paper and see if there are sewing groups, make sure you care work time for this rather it be once a week or whatever, do not let anything get in the way of that time, it is yours alone away from work and school! It does not have to be sewing it could be anything like, a book club, or beading or going out to a club. It does not matter what it is, just do it, that way you have something to look forward to. Also keep goals in mind, you know what school is going to bring you, yes it sucks now, but in the end of it you will be attaining your long term goal, and that can make all the stress seem almost invigorating if you think of it in terms of hard work paying off for something you really want to do.
Sounds like you have a busy schedule. Try to see if you can smile more & change your outlook to being happy. Make sure you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep at night. Stay on a healthy diet with protein & veggies & fruit. Lay off sugars, sodas & caffiene. Start a little exercize program, maybe put some music on & just dance in private or not, just dance. it will get you revved up & will improve your outlook. After living so many decades, I have realized that life is not always ups, it has downs too. Just get thru the down times & you will enjoy the good times a lot more. Above all, Treat yourself well. If all else fails & you have no where to turn, get on your knees, bow your head, & pray for God to help you through this. Think positive. Blessings to you

You need to take some time out for yourself. Take a long hot soak in the tub, and take a book in with you. Put a heating pad under your neck and shoulders, it helps, believe me. Then go out and get something special for yourself, but take a friend with you, and take your time about it. Getting out, is a great way to start feeling better. It gets the blood flowing, which is a great way to get rid of aches from sitting around moping. Hope this helps, good luck to you.l
Listen to music on your Ipod or mp3 after school, but before work. Then try to find someone at work that share your same love for whatever kinds of music you like!-Iamlegend
