When asking for a girl's hand in marriage, the most important thing to keep in mind is what your girl would like you to do. You need to structure your proposal within the framework you respective cultures. Family can play an important role in more conservative settings.
A more old fashioned way of proposing is to ask the girl's father for her hand in marriage after discussing it with the girl in question. You need to think it through carefully and be ready to field questions. Remember to be respectful no matter what and have a plan to tackle any resistance.
If the one you love is more of a liberal, then you might consider proposing to her without involving her father or anyone else. Different communities have different traditions and practices that you might want to follow. For example in a typical Goan Catholic community, it is the boy's family that comes forward to ask for a girl's hand in marriage.

By proposing to her
Be on your knees then purpose and say all she means to you :)
Propose her for what? Do you mean proposeTO her.
Take her out to do something that she would never expect you to propose while doing it. And just randomly, while she's not expecting it, get down on one knee and propose.
Two old fashioned ways were, literally to get down on bended knee, propose and place a ring on the girls finger, the other was to meet with her Father and ask his permission to marry his daughter. Both of course could meet with rejection! With so many single parent families it might be a good idea to ask both father and mother?
Some men do indeed still do both or one or other of these things.
My husband got down on bended knee and asked for my hand in marriage and I accepted. I appreciated the old fashioned approach!
It depends on your relationship. Perhaps you have both taken it for granted that you will eventually marry and just need to talk about the when and where part of it. Perhaps you have taked about an engagement and it's a matter of choosing a ring if you want to do this.
It's always courteous to inform your respective families of your intentions and hopefully they'll give their blessing.
Most couple these days don't involve parental permission and the man proposes to his partner when he or they feel the time is right to do so.

--Best way to propose a girl..??
Well, first, be sure to get her name right.
Let's say it's Sally and there is a vacancy for a typist/secretary and you think that Sally would really excel in the job.
Well, you simply say: "I propose Sally for the post of typist/secretary."
--Job done!!

Well you don't say what you are proposing to do to the poor creature, propose her for a club maybe or a job?
The best way is to do something completely spontanious!!!! :) something she would never have expected in a million years!! If it's now..... Taking her to a park where you carved the question out on a tree..... And then going down on your knee... Or something like that! Woman loves it when men can be creative and spontanious! But don't forget to add your own personal touch to it! Needs some of your personality in that question!! Good luck hunny! Hope she says yes! All my best wishes!
