Many of us find ourselves wishing we had taken a different direction in our lives.  Be it our choice of spouse, career or large purchases.  We need to consider that each of the choices we make in life form what we are.  Often times I have lamented my choices to be involved with certain people.  However, the benefits of the failed relationship are something that would not have come about if it hadn’t existed.  Wondering what would have happened if you dated one person as opposed to another is folly!  There are so many variables to each person’s life that it is conceivable that you could have a negative impact on their life instead of them having a positive influence on you.

Regret is a very strong word that is bandied about like its meaning is little more than the word afterthought.  It does, however, hold a true and valid place in our vocabulary.  Life in many eyes is about balance, the balance of your home and work lives, social and family lives, and all the in betweens that come in life.  When you pass on a relationship because of fear or any other reason, you are not ready for it and what it will bring to your life.  As long as you follow your instincts and know yourself, you should have no regrets in life.

If you think of each choice as a turn or fork in the road, the roadmap to live is a simple as following your instincts.  Okay, simple and life may not be synonymous but you have got to admit, it’s a simple concept.  Programmers may think of choices as 1 & 0’s or bakers as risen or fallen dough.  With each choice in life we are presented with options.  None of the options may be good; they may all be horrible to their own degrees.  This is where making the best choice for you come into play.

'And in the end we learn who's fake and who would risk it all for you.'

The other possible ending to this begins with 'so, don't worry about people from your past' and continues a bit longer. I can't give you the full text in this box but you can read it here.
I think it is a religious saying but don't know who wrote it, sorry.
