Love marriages (as opposed to arranged marriages) are generally stronger, and more passionate.
Are love marriages better than arranged marriages?
In my opinion, being married to someone is like forming a life-long team with that person.
An arranged marriage relies on your parents (and his parents) finding a person who is suitable to join that team.
Having a love marriage means that you'll pick the person you feel most comfortable about spending the rest of your life with.
What are the benefits of love in a marriage?
When you marry someone for love, you are completely devoted and dedicated to one another. This type of passion is key to maintaining a long, happy and successful partnership.
Being in love with someone means you'll naturally care for them and want to protect them, and these attributes are not easily 'manufactured' or replicated.
Love is not something you can force. I believe that it'll happen when it wants to, and there's no telling who you'll end up falling for.
Love motivates couples to keep going through hard times, and an arranged marriage is often weaker than a love marriage because it has less fuel in its tank, less fire in its belly!
Whilst this might sound a bit haphazard, I personally believe there are all sorts of psychological and chemical factors at play, and that that we simply don't understand, when it comes to love.
