I offer two pieces of advice here:
A) As an in-law, it's best to be readily at hand, but not underfoot. On call, but not always calling. They'll need you, in their own time.
B) Try not to compete with the fiancé's side of the family, seek out and respect his view of them, that may better allow you to relate to him, and them.

Congratulations. My wife guaranteed that they would continue to visit us (with the grandchildren later) by giving the new son in law a cookie jar full of cookies. He keeps bringing the family back so he can get refills for that cookie jar. LOL

Be the Mother in Law that you've always wanted. Be encouraging and know your boundaries. Let her go to her friends or other support when things go wrong. In this it's not your place to be her confidant. Because no matter what we say we NEVER forget a hurt done to our child, and there will be hurt, on both sides. Lead by example, through you she will learn how to be a good wife. Respect her choice and respect his lead. He could be the father of your grandchildren someday.
Yin, my brother in law is a strong Christian who married his first and only girlfriend at a young age. A few months before their marriage his fiancees mother gave him a book about taking on a wife in the Christian faith. It was very informative. It gave instruction on how to lead, marriage intimacy, physical marriage intimacy(they were both untouched on their wedding day) and all things to start a healthy Christian marriage. Check your local Christian bookstore if you are interested.

My best piece of advice is not to give advice unless asked. I am the aunt who has no kids so my nieces and nephews and their significant others/spouses look to me on how to deal with their parents when they are... Stepping over the line. The biggest complaint is "____ keeps telling me how to ____ and it is driving me nuts!"
