I have never been to one, but generally speaking any event where you recieve a written invitation unless it says "plus one" or "+1" you cannot bring a date. And anytime you are going to an event where a person (or couple) is being celebrated, you do not want to outdress them. They should be the focus. As for your other questions, ask the person hosting what is expected of you. Once you explain you have never been to one they should be more than glad to explain. A good host/hostess wants everyone to enjoy themselves and that would mean them understanding the ceremony and customs.
Ive never been to a quinceanera before?? can u bring a date or someone who hasn't been invited? what are some rules such as never wear anything more fancy than her etc.
I wasn't gonna answer this question but I will ... As a Canadian anyway . Yes you can bring a date cos I was brought as a date years ago !! At least 5 maybe ..years ... Oh maybe only 3 but that doesn't matter ..anyway it's a coming of age party and there's shoes involved and the gift should be as much as a wedding so $100 per couple , all I Remwber about that was a shoe thing and then a huge fight after in a hotel .. I really know nothing about this exept I should never have been in a realationship with an idiot name Marc , that's fine then . HAPPY SHOE THING ! :)
