Their stupid confusion need not make you ill.

People who project their feelings/assessments onto others are idiots and the world is full of them. Fortunately, there are mature people who do not think this way and have the experience or wisdom to understand what is going on, or if they do not understand what is going on they refrain from hasty judgement.

Don't live your live in others people's criticisms.  If you think what they said might be true, see it as an opportunity to improve yourself.  If not true, don't let the words affect you because they are not true.  People who truly understand you don't need explanation, people that need you to constant prove to them will never understand you,

Well you know your not. My mother was introverted, shy and suffered social anxiety, some people use to think the same about her. They thought her silence was rudeness when she just felt awkward and embarrassed. However, when she was with people with who she felt comfortable she was a joy to be with. Unfortunately some people are just loud mouths and think everyone should be the same, they make everyone and everything their business and have no manners or decorum.  What he did says nothing about you and everything about him, his the angry one because he's not getting any attention :)

Try not to base how you feel about yourself on others, especially people like that, or else you give them the power to control how you feel.
