Yes, I get that feeling often. I think almost everyone does at times. It just feels like you're useless and can't really do what you wish to do. But the good thing is, it goes away quickly as soon as you occupy yourself with something you like. You're not useless at all but we all feel that way sometimes. It's pretty normal.

The worst feeling of emptiness I ever felt was when I was a POW in North Vietnam in a Officers only Prisoner Camp.  We were cut off totally from all outside communications, the Vietcong told us that US was losing the war and that the US was going to belong to the Vietnamese. We could not contact anyone to tell them we were alive and find out anything.  After a couple days, a feeling of emptiness is so bad one wished not to live any longer but my faith in God and myself kept me and others going til the day the Red Cross got us out and I promised that nothing would ever be that bad again and hasn't but those several months in that bamboo cage was a feeling that's hard to describe in words  but you feel so alone and empty inside so be thankful for what you have and pray you never experience a war and use your friends when this feeling hits and find something to do  but don't feel sorry for yourself ever

Not really. I used to feel empty when I found I'm one of the rare few who still like children's programs, but I learned to accept myself for who I am. I'm an adult who loves family friendly shows and movies when everyone else around me wants to see the next R rated flick. I just think movies can be creative away from sex and drugs. I'm trying to feel confident in this area. I like being unique.

Sometimes I feel like I'm a white sheep in a flock of black sheep, but I like to break away from the "supposed adult mode" and have simple clean fun.
