All dads are like that with their kids. They are just trying to be protective. It can be hard at times but remember that he loves you. It's a crazy world we live in today!

It is, trust me. Parents get stressed out from things and say things they really don't mean. Your dad loves you, he's probably just having some issues at this time. You wait and see, all will be well! :)

Thanks! Hope so! I'm just struggling to get my phone back which he has now taken the second time, and just because he least trusts me! But I am working to get his trust! Thanks for your help! It's always great to take some adults advice! Thanks!

Building trust will take time and honesty, particularly if something has happened in the past to make your dad question your actions.

Telling your dad how you feel, and listening to his concerns, will help, but you both need to be honest.

If you agree to do something, such as come home at a certain time, make sure you do it; if you don't stick to your word once, your dad will find it difficult to trust you later on.

You also need to see things from his perspective - he may seem untrusting, but he is only trying to protect you because he loves you and doesn't want you to get hurt.

You will be able to resolve the situation much faster if you are able to be open and honest with each other; good luck.
