This girl that may like me laughed at a joke about a redneck I told and it was really stupid. Is it true that if girls laugh at dumb jokes they're most likely into you?

I wouldn't assume that every girl is like this, but I can tell you that there are a lot of girls who would laugh at all your jokes, even the stupid ones, if they like you. It's not a guarantee that she likes you, but this girl at least has an interest in you. People, not just girls, usually laugh at other's stupid jokes because they want that person telling the joke to like them whether as a friend or something else. It's perfectly natural to want to please people you are interested in, so this is most likely what that girl was trying to do.

But don't get your hopes up just yet. Some people laugh at lame jokes because they feel obligated to do that so they won't hurt the feelings of the person telling the joke. It's not just a matter of pleasing them because they're interested but more of a matter of them wanting to be nice. Sometimes I find myself in this position and I laugh anyway. Although I don't actually find it all that funny, I find it pathetic enough to manage an effortless, realistic sounding laugh.

And of course, there is the possibility that she actually thought it was funny and there was nothing else to it. People have different sense of humor. You may have thought that it was a stupid joke, but to her it could've been something totally hilarious. That does happen sometimes, so it may not necessarily mean that she likes you.

That's why, if you really want to make sure, then tell another lame joke. Better yet, tell at least three lame jokes (but not all at once of course). It's highly unlikely for her to laugh at several consecutive lame jokes unless she likes you (or has a very odd sense of humor). People who laugh out of sympathy would tire out at laughing much earlier than people who laugh because they like you. So by the time you make your fifth or tenth or whatever lame joke, those who laugh out of sympathy would have already dwindled away.

Okay, there are also things she tells me about and not even her own best friend. She told me she is an Atheist and only me. She tells me a few other things that I don't think she told anyone else about. Do you think she finds me to be the most trustworthy person in her eyes?

Is there an Email I could send pictures to you? I have pictures of my assignment book and what she writes and draws in it.

I personally think that you are over thinking this whole thing. I am like that too, so I understand kinda what is going on in your head right now. But when the whole thing is over, I usually realize that the things I thought about were just a waste of time and energy because things are usually simpler than they appear to be. If you really want to know, then ask her directly instead of wallowing over this whole thing feeling confused. Trust me, it doesn't help you out if this is all you do.

Right now, I'm in a situation where I'm as confused as ever and I'm over thinking things. Welcome to life as a confused teenager lol. But you know what? I'm going to confront this person I'm having issues with about what is going on and I feel that you should too. It's not healthy to ponder about this all the time and there are better things that we could be thinking about. Don't be afraid to do so, because this is for your own good in the long run. And don't worry about being alone, because as I said before, I'm in the same boat as you and will be doing some confronting too.

I don't think that the Atheist thing is that big of a deal honestly, unless she's from a super religious family. If not, then she's probably trying to get attention from you.

And it's okay, I don't need to see that notebook. I believe you about this. It doesn't matter what the girl wrote. If she wrote something in your notebook, it means that she is at least interested in you in some way.

Where did you hear this one?  Laughing at a stupid joke means absolutely nothing. It could be she actually thought it was funny or just being nice  because she was raised that way, but other than that youre reading way too much into this and you could be setting yourself up here.  I would say this is probably the last sign that shes interested in you so find another sign

Well, if you read the comment section there is more than just her laughing at a stupid joke. She's been flirty and writing stuff in my assignment book a lot. Read the comments section too, you know.
