Why do some people text you but don't talk to you in person?

Like arthur said, it's sometimes easier to talk to someone when you can't see their face. Either that or they're the type of person like "you're my friend at home or when I can't see you but not at school." unfortunately, there's a lot of people out there like this

Sometimes its easier to say via text what one really wants to say instead of saying it face to face where facial expressions come into play like the ability to tell if the person is lying
