In my case - I'd have to say it's my sensitive side. I can be really caring, compassionate and empathetic, but no-one seems to pick up on that!
I've spent most of my life as a teacher, so perhaps that's got something to do with it.
Why does no-one notice that about me?
As a man, I know that guys tend to be a little cautious about sharing their feelings and emotions, but I really don't understand why no-one can see my softer side.
I make an effort to smile and be friendly, I even voice my opinions and share intimate thoughts when someone is willing to listen, so I really don't understand why I'm so misunderstood!
How to get people to notice your qualities?
This is a question I've been thinking about a lot.
The most obvious answer would be to emphasize or exaggerate things. If you want someone to notice that you're polite, go overboard and be super-polite. If you want someone to see your 'physical assets', then pick an outfit that flaunts them.
I guess the only danger is when people go overboard - when they exaggerate a quality so much that it starts to work against them. Being over-the-top might get you mistakenly labelled as fake, flamboyant or insincere.
