Many people assume that a man wearing female clothes automatically means that they have homosexual tendencies; however, this is a misconception because the majority of men that wear women's clothes are heterosexual. There are many reasons why people wear clothes of the opposite sex. It could be as simple as comfort or they may perhaps just prefer the style of the clothes. Others decide to wear the opposite sex's attire to simply shock people and go against social norms.

The action of wearing the clothes of the opposite sex is known as cross-dressing. There are a number of reasons, like I discussed above as to why people might do this. It is a behavioral attitude that may have begun from a young age. For example, children enjoy playing dress up with their friends and it is something that has stayed with the individual. Also, children may have worn the clothes of a family member or friend of the opposite sex.

History has shown that cross-dressing has been apparent in society for a long time. A number of historical figures are known to have cross-dressed in various situations and there are a lot of references to cross-dressing in literature, theatre, music and folklore. In addition, men and women have cross-dressed in situations to hide their physical gender. For example, some women have cross-dressed to fit into male dominated areas such as military service.

I love wearing nightgowns with women panties under them. I think every guy has a feminine fetish about them and trust me all men act on it either in public or in secrecy, most do it in secrecy. I love being a straight men and wearing guy clothes too but I feel comfortable to know from others that I'm not the only who does what I do.

So many men want to and are already wearing women's panties that in fact they can be considered to be mens' underwear.  Clothing is genderless.  Why should women have the right to wear cotton briefs which look like men's underwear and not be considered strange?  Why should women be able to wear pants (which until WWII was taboo for women) and not be considered strange?  It is society which dictates what we wear and too many men are stuck in the boring category.  Just open a women's clothing catalogue and see the hundreds if not thousands of items and then look at the 2 pages of men's clothing in the same catalogue.  Women can crossdress and have been doing it for years.  Panties are soft, silky and nice next to your skin.  Why should men not have the same enjoyment.  Clothing does not make the man, or woman for that matter.  Sexuality has nothing to do with clothing - whether it is panties, other underwear, high heels, nylons, skirts or anything else.  It's time to get out of the boring and into the beautiful.

There are lots of men who do exactly what you are doing; as you say, you aren't hurting anybody. If you feel happy, there is nothing to worry about. You might like to have a look at this cross-dressing forum and see what other people in your situation have to say.

I agree there is nothing wrong with you and you are definitely not gay.  I love the feel of a woman's nightgown and wear one every night to bed.  It makes me feel free and luxurious.
I have never been gay and never will be. Take care

I'm 17 and struggling with this question. I found a book of my mother's on teenage parenting and saw it was bookmarked. I opened to where she had stopped, and realized it was a large section on trying to find out whether or not one's son is homosexual.

Now, I am progressed enough in my sexual development to realize I am VERY STRAIGHT, but at the same time, I find a strange, comforting fascination with women's clothing that is highly stimulating sexually. However, in most of my fantasies, I picture the girl wearing whatever sexy piece I find. I own a few pieces myself that I keep hidden away, but I suspect my mother has already found them and simply put them back where she found them. I do extremely rarely wear them for the feel, but I am sure I am straight. I struggle with the knowledge of my parents' suspicion and am eager to escape my house so I can take my feminine problems with me.

I am the same age as you and I feel the same way. Don't be bothered by your feelings. Whatever you decide for your sex life is your decision. I wish you the best of luck and you should enjoy that which makes you happy as long as you do not impose/hurt others. :)

Could me that your Mom is right ... But then she could be wrong too.  Like me, you could be transgendered and a crossdresser.  I started weaing panties when I was about six and when my Mom caught me dressed like my two best friends, who happened to be girls, with all three of us wearing jumpers, she thought it was cute.  She asked me if I liked it and when I told her yes, she smiled, telling me that she would buy me some panties and a couple outfits like my friends.  That was the start and I'm still dressing and enjoying it ... Besides it doesn't hurt anyone.

Nightgowns have always been erotically charged & therefore much admired items of clothing, along with every other garment that presents flounces and lace, which includes day time garments like frilly blouses. To love these garments is to acknowledge your love of erotic finery which a perfectly natural human response. Ask yourself why so much attention has been given to the creation of these lovely garments in the past. They are simply beautiful creations that many people need to experience within their lives. I adore long flowing dainty and demure Victorian styled Nightdresses with their profusion of fine lace & ruffle adornments along with their attendant frilly bonnet styled Nightcaps that were tied securely under the chin and framed the wearer's face in soft fluttering frills - all so divine. So go and indulge and enjoy the feminine side of your personality whilst I type this response currently adorned in a pale blue lace embroidered frilled Victorian Nightgown & delicate lace ringlet ivory boudoir cap flowing over my hair tonight.

Absolutely not. Your going to turn into an adult woman if you haven't already. You body develops so of course you will wear panties. If anybody makes fun of you by calling you a sissy, don't worry about it. Because they either already wear panties and they're just being jerks, or they don't have them yet. But don't worry about that, they probably will eventually. So no, you're not a sissy, and don't think that you r. I hope you liked your answer. Thx for reading

No ... But then wearing panties could bring out the inner feminine in you too.  But being and enjoying the feminine doesn't necessarily make you a sissy.

Hi rossie,

If it makes you happy, enjoy it. There are too many other things to worry about. Perhaps this is your way of dealing with stress. I say forget everyone's opinions and be happy!!

What other people think, including your Mother, doesn't matter. Guys in panties is more common than you might think. A bra is a little different because you have no breasts. But panties and nighties and slips and skirts and dresses are very acceptable.

I love wearing panties a nightgowns too. The feeling of liberation and freedom of movement is fantastic. Have you removed all your body hair? If you haven't, try it; it's even better that way. Try a few shots of a good perfume, that's great too.
