One of my closest friends told me that she wanted to kill herself because of me. She described the cuts she 'dedicated' to me, and even began turning friends away. We went into hs, and now she's spreading bad rumors. What do I do?

She is the one with the problem. Don't let her attitude affect you. Just hang with your close friends and ignore her. She is sad and pathetic and trying to garner attention. Don't give it to her.

Exactly! At first I had sympathy for her..... till her personality was explained a Little. She does cr@p for attention and that really upsets me cuz there are people out there who seriously DO have a cutting problem and need help! 😠

I did, but that was when she started explaining to me that she'd dedicated cuts to me.  She wrote letters calling me trash, a b****, a coward, and that I didn't deserve to live.  It affected me and all of those close to me.  We had a whole drama with the school counselor, and the principal became involved when she slapped my friend.  Her parents knew, my parents knew, and there were all sorts of people involved, including a child psychologist.  Recently, she was elected for freshman class council, and now I see her everywhere.  It makes me feel horrible, that she wasn't even punished for what she made me feel.  I would be fine with it eventually, but now I'm hearing things about how I am a horrible friend.  I wanted to leave all of it behind in middle school, but now it's starting to affect my life in hs, and even my grades.

YOU are not a horrible friend, SHE is! Your better off without her. Let her be her pathetic whiny self being class whatever in the spot light. You won't even know her after you graduate. Move on from her and focus on your grades. She is not worth it.
