At the moment my mom is in hospital. My dad is violent, throws tantrums, break things, yells and curses, but tells me off for all of the above because we are a christian family. He never did this for my 8 older siblings. help?

I would say he is very upset and worried about your mom.  But he is handling it in an inappropriate and dysfunctional manner.  The best you can probably do is stay out of his way as much as possible and try not to set him off.  Try not acting like a confrontational teen for awhile.  And if you are a Christian family, pray.  Ask God for His help.
