because as you get older you have more responseablities like if you have kids getting a job cooking doing the grocery shopping. Stuff like that to where when you were a kid you went to school and had less things to worry about living with your folks and your parents did it all for you.

Actually, when you are an adult you have a opportunity to undo all the crap the parents pulled when you were a child.

It is quite liberating when you finally accomplish that.

Attributed to Mark Twain - "When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years."

My parents were ill-prepared to be parents.

While my parents of course did some good things it was only about 5 years ago that I was pronounced "recovered" from my childhood.

Just looked at your link, Ray----well put.

I chose to have children because I wanted to prove it could be done properly.

Ask my kids---they have all asked me specifically to help raise the grandchildren.

With both my advice and physical presence.
