because as you get older you have more responseablities like if you have kids getting a job cooking doing the grocery shopping. Stuff like that to where when you were a kid you went to school and had less things to worry about living with your folks and your parents did it all for you.
Because you become the protector and provider instead of being the one who is protected and provided for
Actually, when you are an adult you have a opportunity to undo all the crap the parents pulled when you were a child.
It is quite liberating when you finally accomplish that.
Maybe just hard for you.
