I'm getting socially rejected. PEOPLE IGNORE ME AND SOMETIMES EVEN AVOID ME IN BOTH REAL LIFE AND ON SOCIAL MEDIA. What can I do to make more friends?

Join groups or clubs that involve your interests. That way you hav at least one thing in common with the people there. Other than that since we can't see you interact with people we can't give you any guidance. Ask a friend or fanily member what you can do to fit in better.

It may be your self-image that's getting in the way. If you promote yourself as "I Am A Nerd" people are probably going to treat you that way.

There's not a thing wrong with being nerdy but if you want to be popular you're going to have to cultivate some other interests as well. Not "instead of" but AS WELL.

After I left high school everyone drifted off and I found it was really hard to hang out with someone when you wanted. And when the person did hangout it was almost like they were just doing it as a favour to you. I have one best friend and that's all I need!

I am sorry that you feel lonely. Real friends are supportive in times of distress. They laugh when you laugh and cry when you cry. Maybe you can seek out people your age who can really value you.

If you're a teenager, it's pretty normal to feel like an outcast.  Maybe spending more time offline finding people in your own community and school who have similar interests is a good start.  You might be a "nerd" .. But there are many other kids who are "nerds" too.  Making friends isn't always easy for anyone.  You just have to step outside of your comfort zone and make the first moves.  Many people think lonely people are stand offish and avoid them.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Good luck.

Inject some humour, life's tough enough as it is, people need to be able to have a good laugh, and laugh at themselves or this is going to be one long trek, not a star trek either," its life Jim but not as we know it."  O_o
