Why do spiders always hide in the bathtub?

They might hide in the bathtub in the US of A but in Australia they hide in the toilet seat. We even write songs about them.

Many insects lay eggs / are hatched in water. Spiders know this and like to be around moist areas, lots of good food there waiting to be caught. Thus the Tub has moisture always in the trap and spiders can sense this and are attracted to the area.

Lol its because spiders come up your drain so you should probably close it when no one is showering.
