If you broke up with him for a reason such as he was abusive to you or others, or because he was unfaithful, then probably yes. If you broke up with him for a reason such as he didn't remember your birthday, or he doesn't tell you he loves you as often as you would like or in the way you would like, then probably no.

Only you can truly answer this one as we do not know the details of why you broke up but something made you think this was the appropriate action to take here. So chances are you really did the right thing here for you. Don't double guess yourself and move on now and don't look back but learn from this relationship so as not to repeat any mistakes you made But remember the more you hang onto the past, the harder it is to move forward, but take some time to get over him before moving on or the next relationship may be doomed by rebounding.
