You have to do what is right for you here, not what he wants. Figure out if you're better off with or without him and go from there. It won't be easy as you have some time together but will this get worse or eventually better but when? If he isn't willing to cut back on his career for you then he can't ask you to stay for him. He will be alright so cut your losses and move on and who knows maybe one day on down the road, you two may get back together. Good luck
