The best way for me to tell is by looking them straight in the eyes while they talk. Certain body movements can tip you off but the eyes always tell the truth. Unless you're with that person at the time and can see their eyes, you can't ever tell. Unless you want to stress yourself out trying to figure out ways to tell.
