I would suggest the traditional route of taking the person to the cinema, to a nice restaurant or for a quiet drink in a warm, friendly pub where it is not too chaotic.

A park or a restaurant is a good start. Somewhere in public where you can relax and just enjoy each other's company. Love is certainly in the air, enjoy yourselves and don't have too many expectations on the first date.
