I'd most likely ask them if they're lost and do they know where their mum or dad is at.I would try to find out if they knew what store they were in last and try to backtrack from there and look for them.Usually if a child is lost, the parent realises this and is looking for them too.But if there was no luck I'd get a policewoman to take charge of the situation as they're trained in these crises.

Basically the same thing as Janey. Although I have the advantage of having and idea who most the kids in this town belong to and which kids would be most likely to be wandering the streets unsupervised. Some of those kids I would just take to the Child protective services office as I know they are dealing with them regularly.

I will ask him if he is lost than go to a foster home so he can be safe and sound or I can ask the child what are his or her parent's names and if there are some adults around, I would ask, is this your child?
