If you were unable to hang out with your close group of friends, and 1 of them said that it wasn't the same without you, how would you feel? Would you feel honored, or would you hope for your friends to still have a good time?

I would hope they missed me horribly and had a miserable time without me. :):):):)  I'm sure they would get over it and have a good time anyway.

You are stuck in this "me me me" mentality. It's all about me. I I I me me me! YOU should be hoping YOUR "friends" had a good time because you care about them. If one of my friends said it wasn't the same without me of course THAT'S true. Each person gives a different dynamic to each group of people. When one is absent it is NOT the same. Whether it is YOU or her or he or them!

I would feel it's not about me and hopefully I could make it next time.

Why can't I feel honored and hope they still had a good time? Maybe because you are the type of person to care and do want them to have a good time without you is the reason you will be missed.
