Are you the only person who can see how manipulative a "friend" can be while everyone else is blind to it?

I know someone 😲. I avoid her.

Not the only person but I've seen this many times. I have a couple of people who try to manipulate me and others don't see it at the moment but usually they do in time. I'm usually pretty good at knowing when myself or someone else is being "played". Just some people just don't see it. So be it.

I have a pretty good bullsh*t detector, so I can usually see these things before others realize what's really going on. It's a pretty helpful tool in dealing with people.

It works both ways. I have been fooled many times because I basically believe everyone is a good person.

But there's other times I have warned others when I get a strong impression their friend or acquaintance is  just not on the up and up.

I don't really care if people are manipulative. They are just smart and know how to get their way. What bothers me is when people don't see that a person is mean when it's not directed towards them. 😒
