What are your thoughts on newborn daycare? Do you think it can potentially cause attachment problems?

Dear Anonymous,

There are always exceptions but generally YES, for me no doubt being away from the mother (especially) can be harmful for the newborn.

Not only would I stay home with the baby, I would also use one of those slings so the infant is in constant physical contact with the mother's body...preferably, or if the mother is not available then someone who deeply loves the infant.

And I would do infant massage daily, maximum touching, all kinds of holding, caressing of newborn....it's their primary language now to welcome them and the world is an okay place to be...
