No, I wouldn't. I would have started my profession earlier in my life though.
If you could live your life again, with the knowledge you have now, would you change your profession?
No.
Nothing that I have ever learned or done has ever been a waste.
It's one of the few things I would change. My job was obsolescent almost before I finished training for it. Given a second bite of the cherry I'd probably get a degree in commerce.
Absolutely Yes.
I enjoyed the job that I trained for, unfortunately due to my health I cannot do it anymore. I've often thought that studying law might have been a good way to go.
No. I would not change anything. Every experience over the course of my life, whether good or bad, has made me who I am at this minute. I like who I am.
i enjoy being a auto mechanic but it does not pay enough so i want to be a hollywood stunt driver
I would probably have stuck with one of my first two career choices ... Broadcast media or computers.
I trained to be a photographer, so it was obvious that I would end up as a computer professional.
I helped to invent SGML - the forerunner of HTML, but somehow failed to realize how important "the Web" would become.
So.... I wouldn't change my profession but I would look differently at tech. Developments as they came along.
I can't say a have a profession yet because I don't have that much working experience. But ... I would surely start fishing earlier and by that time I would have become a grand master already...
