You know, I've had the same problem! If you really like her, try to become better friends. Treat this girl just a little bit nicer then everyone else; flirt subtlety. Compliment her, tell her she smells nice or how pretty her hair is. If you keep trying, I'm sure that something will develop; hang in there! :)
