No, I don't think they're shameless. Are you afraid of nudity?
[ONLY IF AGREE] Anyone else think the showers like the ones in school gyms and prisons are shockingly shameless?
In prisons you're like cattle rounded up, take a shower then the next heard come in. Get used to it I did.
Shameless? What? No absolutely not. Lemme tell ya something, as a nurse I think I've been pretty well exposed (pun intended) to every shape, size, length or lack thereof, the human anatomy. There is absolutely nothing shameful about any part of it.
Why do you want ONLY people who agree?
Expand your mind.
No - I don't think they are "shockingly shameless".
"Shame" is an artificial concept introduced by cultural influences.
Since nudity is our natural state, there is nothing inherently "shameful" OR "shameless" about being nude ... Whether in public or private.
There's nothing shameful about the human body. There may well be something hinky (it's an Abby Sciuto word) with a person who thinks otherwise.
I used to run 6 km every lunch time and finish with a public shower. There were eight shower heads and, very often, all were in use. One of my funniest memories was misplacing a contact lens under the shower. I thought it was going to wash down the drain and all eight of us were crawling about on hands and knees looking for it. It must have looked hilarious.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but I do find the thought a little uncomfortable, as A) I'm VERY modest, although I don't mind if anyone else wants to strip in public changerooms, and B) we had a 'public' changeroom at my primary school pool, and ever since about grade 4, it was shameful to strip down fully. We don't have them in high school, instead, we have stalls, which I am personally more comfortable with.
I find them awkward and uncomfortable but not shameless.
I think it's absolutely disgusting. I've only ever seen them on TV so I didn't think they even existed any more. Aren't there laws against public nudity? Indecent exposure? How can public/open showers be okay then, hm?
