I had low self esteem. Not worth anything or anyone & so I tried to end contact with him but he said no that he'll be waiting for me. I do love him but now its been two days and he hasn't answered my texts. Is he mad for what I tried to do??

I would say he's giving you your space to get your life in order and by not contacting you, he's not pushing you into anything you don't want right now. So take this down time to think about things and what you want out of your life, but I seriously doubt he hates you or is mad at you here.  

Now if you waste this time, he could be mad in the future but respects you enough to give you this time for yourself.  Good luck
