I knit a lot. Upon seeing me wearing a sweater I had recently knit myself, a friend said "You can't control yourself, can you?" As I answered she turned away from me. I took this as her being unhappy about it. What do you think?

I don't know what her problem is, but I wouldn't take it too personally. Being able to make your own clothes is an awesome skill to have. As the others said, she's probably jealous of that.

If you really want to know what's up with her, why not just ask her?

It's possible that she's upset about something other than the sweater, and you mistakenly assumed that's what it was all about.

Either way, just keep doing what you're doing regarding knitting. If you enjoy it, it's a very practical way to spend your time.

Doesn't sound like it's a talent that she has.. I think it's great that you can knit your own sweater. Everyone has different talents and it sounds like knitting is yours. I doubt she's unhappy about it  but I'll bet she wishes she could do the same.

I think that's great you can knit and you shouldn't let a friends smart wise cracks upset you... she sounds like a jealous person.
