Why are some teenage girls closest/comfortable with their moms rather than their dads?

because if you are a teen and are going through a strong hormonal stage it is easier to talk and tell your mum your problems because they know what you are going through because they have probably gone through it too. Most Fathers find it harder to understand because they don't know how it feels

I agree with Suzie. Males don't really understand, and it would probably be more awkward talking to each other about...things. (: I guess girls (when first learning about puberty) have the mentality, "Well, if I've talked to her about things like that I might as well talk to her about anything." Dunno, just a guess. Even though I'm a girl...
