I always find myself drawn to people who aren't trying to get people to like them!
The Sort Of People I Find Interesting
I usually find creative people like writers, artists and musicians more interesting. They tend to have a different way of seeing things, and you can have really good conversations with them.
Odd or eccentric people can also be really interesting, providing that the eccentricity isn't just an act to make them seem quirky and different.
I think a shared sense of humour is crucial, too. If you can have a laugh with someone, then spending time with them is definitely appealing.
People I Don't Find Interesting In The Slightest
I went to a terrible party the other day, and it ended up with just me and my friend sitting in the corner gradually getting more and more disdainful of everyone in the room. That night just confirmed what I don't find appealing in people:
- Groups of people all dressed the same. It just seems like they're so desperate to fit in that they sacrifice all sense of personal identity in order to do so.
- People who insist on taking photos of everything and anything to show what a great night they're having, when really there's nothing interesting happening. I had an argument with a girl who insisted on taking my photo, promising she wouldn't put it on Facebook if I didn't like it. My problem was nothing to do with Facebook, I just don't like having a camera shoved in my face!
- People who do what everyone else does just because it's apparently cool.
- People who make a drama out of anything and everything.
- Girls who squeal, screech and laugh at a frequency that probably sends all bats in a five-mile radius crazy.
