Nothing lol, but I've made my parents a romantic dinner for Valentine's day last year because they couldn't go out. I made them General Tso's Chicken on rice, and I made fortune cookies with funny fortunes in them. They loved it and were really surprised!
I think the most romantic thing that has every been done for me was when my husband proposed to me.
I need to give you a bit of a back story for you to fully understand how romantic it was.
Every year after the summer season the whole troupe use to go on holiday for the weekend, just to a nearby caravan site. But we had the best time there!
We once again were on our end of season holiday and my husband was busy preparing me some dinner. I could feel that something wasn't quite right but I didn't say anything I just sat and waited patiently. Well he brought over a heart shaped plate ( I didn't question it, I just thought it was a random plate left in the caravan.) As I started to eat my dinner I noticed that there was a pattern on my plate, once again not a thought went through my head, I did notice however he wasn't eating much. As I ate more and more off my plate I noticed that on the plate were the words:
When I read the words I looked at him, I started to cry and he got down on one knee and produced the most beautiful engagement ring I had ever seen. Of course I said yes and lots of tears and hugs I went to tell my family and the rest of my dance troupe.
All I can say is that night we had a HUGE party, my Dad was obviously aware and produced a bottle of champagne when I told my Mum.
I know you may read this and say it was just a caravan site, but it was truly perfect to me the setting had sentimental meaning. My family were around to celebrate with me and I can remember being overcome with joy that all I wanted to do was scream!
One of the best days of my life!
My wife sent me a dozen long stemmed roses via my office. The ladies were jealous.
