How old does a friends daughter have to be before she can leave home without parental consent?

It depends on the culture he/she's in. In the US its 18 but for some countries older than that. But for me as long as she/he can already handle himself/herself alone.
Any one's child must be 18, but in some states such as Texas, The emancipation age is 17.
